Fitness expert Nikita Belyaev explained the lack of abs with regular training. His words are quoted by Sportmaster Media.
“To visualize the abdominal muscles, two factors must coincide – a low level of subcutaneous fat and sufficient muscle volume,” Belyaev said. He said that the rectus muscle, as well as the internal and external obliques, play a decisive role in how the abs look.
Belyaev noted that one of the main reasons for the visual absence of abs is incorrectly selected exercises. He advised against using static exercises such as planks. Instead, the coach suggested doing bending and twisting of the torso in any variation – one exercise in four sets three times a week.
The specialist emphasized that it is impossible to do abdominal exercises every day, since the muscles must receive time to recover. In this case, it is necessary to gradually increase the additional weight, the number of repetitions and the duration of rest between them.
Earlier, fitness expert Irina Rotach revealed a way to pump up six-pack abs without going to the gym. The expert recommended performing vertical scissors and situps with raised arms.
