Ancelotti said that Ukrainian goalkeeper Lunin gives Real Madrid confidence
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti praised the performance of the team’s Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin. His words are quoted by journalist Mario Cortegan on social networks X.
According to the specialist, everything works out for the goalkeeper. “We have found a very reliable goalkeeper who gives us confidence,” said Ancelotti. He also noted that he does not yet know whether Thibaut Courtois will again become the main goalkeeper of the club after he recovers from injury.
In June 2020, Alexander Petrakov, who served as head coach of the Ukrainian youth team, said that Lunin has good prospects at Real Madrid. He noted that the goalkeeper is capable of winning the competition against Courtois.
Lunin moved to Real Madrid from Zorya Luhansk in the summer of 2018. This season he has played 22 matches for the Madrid club in all competitions.
