Manchester City director Begiristain calls Champions League draw a disgrace
Manchester City sporting director Txiki Begiristain commented on the results of the draw for the 1/4 finals of the 2023/2024 Champions League. His words are quoted by Marca.
Begiristain called the draw of the tournament a disgrace, since the team will play in the playoffs with Real Madrid for the third time in a row. “How can?! It’s always the same. The quarterfinals are ahead, we’ll try to remember last season,” said a team representative.
The draw for the Champions League took place earlier on March 15 in Nyon, Switzerland. Based on its results, it became known that Real Madrid will play with Manchester City, London Arsenal with Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid with Borussia Dortmund, and Barcelona with Parisian PSG.
The first matches in pairs will take place on April 9 and 10. The return matches will take place in a week.
