Yuri Lodygin became the fourth goalkeeper called up for matches with Serbia and Paraguay
The coaching staff of the Russian national team called up the fourth goalkeeper for friendly matches with Serbia and Paraguay. This was reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
It was the goalkeeper of the Greek “Panathinaikos” Yuri Lodygin. He will join Matvey Safonov (Krasnodar), Andrey Lunev (Qarabakh) and Alexander Maksimenko (Spartak).
“After a long break, Yuri regained his place in the main team of Panathinaikos last fall, and last weekend he gave another strong performance in the derby victory for his club against Olympiacos,” said goalkeeper coach of the Russian national team Vitaly Kafanov.
The Russian team will hold a meeting against Serbia on March 21 at the VTB Arena stadium and will play against Paraguay on the 25th. Both matches will be friendly. Lodygin made his debut for the Russian national team in 2013. He has 11 matches with the national team.
