Cameroon called it possible to hold a friendly match with Russia in 2024
The Secretary General of the Cameroon Football Federation, Blaise Jounane, appreciated the opportunity to hold another friendly match with the Russian national team. His words are quoted by Sport24.
Junan called it possible to hold a return meeting in 2024. “But this issue still needs to be discussed. In a week at a meeting we will decide which national teams our team will play against,” he added.
On October 12, 2023, the Russian team defeated the Cameroon team with a score of 1:0. The only goal was scored in the 40th minute by CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov.
On February 28, 2022, the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations excluded Russian national teams and clubs from international tournaments. Teams do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team has lost the opportunity to fight for access to the finals of the World and European Championships.
