Journalist Utkin called Vyalbe a fool for words about a mass collapse at the Spartakiad
Sports commentator Vasily Utkin in his Telegram channel ridiculed the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe for her words after the massive collapse at the Winter Spartakiad.
The journalist called Vyalbe a fool. “You can’t trust her to take a five-year-old to the toilet, but she’s in charge of the national teams,” he said.
A massive collapse during a 10-kilometer race in the Krasnodar region occurred on March 8. The number of injured skiers was 18 people. All injured athletes were hospitalized. The prosecutor’s office of the Adler district of Sochi began an investigation into the incident, which led to injuries to the skiers.
Vyalbe criticized skiers after a massive crash at the Spartakiad. She stated that the low level of athletes was to blame for the incident.
