UFC fighter Borshchev said that the difference between Russians and Americans is religion
Russian fighter of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Vyacheslav Borshchev spoke about the differences between Russians and Americans. His words are quoted by Sport24.
The athlete living in the USA said that the main difference is religion, since Russians represent Orthodoxy, and Americans represent Protestant praetorian culture. “But in fact, if we talk more deeply, it’s the same ordeal. We really are like a reflection of each other,” he said.
On November 9, Borshchev said that he was fighting for money, not for Russia. He added that he would stop fighting when he was not paid.
The Russian had five fights in the UFC, in which he won two victories and suffered two defeats. His last fight at UFC 295 in New York against Azerbaijani Nazim Sadikhov ended in a draw.
