Ivanov said that Vlut will not play for Ural if he loses the trial for an accident
President of Yekaterinburg “Ural” Grigory Ivanov spoke about the future of the Dutch legionnaire of the club, Raya Vlut, accused of an accident. His words are quoted by KP.RU.
Ivanov said that until the sentence came into force, the football player cannot be called a criminal. The head of the Russian Premier League (RPL) club emphasized that if Vlut loses the appeal court, he will not play for Ural.
In November 2021, in the Dutch city of Hoofddorp, Vlut, while intoxicated, became involved in an accident, which a four-year-old child could not survive. According to the prosecutor’s office, the football player was driving at a speed of 203 kilometers per hour and did not try to avoid a collision with another car. Initially, the athlete’s friend, who was in the passenger seat, took the blame, but later Vlut admitted that he was driving.
Vlut moved to Ural in the summer of 2022. The football player’s contract with the Yekaterinburg team is valid until December 31, 2024.
