Coach Carlo Ancelotti faces 4 years and 9 months in prison for tax evasion
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is accused of tax evasion. Relevo reports this.
The Italian specialist faces four years and nine months in prison. According to the Madrid prosecutor’s office, in 2014 and 2015 he paid taxes only on his salary at Real Madrid. However, he did not indicate other income related to the use of image rights. The investigation notes that to evade taxes, Ancelotti used a complex scheme with several companies registered outside of Spain.
During the indicated period, the coach himself indicated himself as a tax resident of Spain. In total he owes more than 1 million euros.
Ancelotti has been in charge of Real Madrid since 2021. He also worked with the team from 2013 to 2015. Together with the cream team, he became the champion of Spain and won the Champions League twice.
