Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka reacted to the unfair marks given to her daughter Nadezhda at the figure skating competition. Her words are quoted by Teleprogramma.
The athlete stated that the judges were wrong, having lowered her daughter’s marks for the fact that she performed in a copy of the costume of the Olympic champion Alina Zagitova. She drew attention to the fact that Nadezhda had already appeared on the ice in copies of different costumes, and there were no problems with this. “I am sure that Nadya will grow up, come out in this dress again and win,” Navka emphasized.
On November 2, Navka complained that Nadezhda was condemned in the competition because of the choice of dress and music. According to the skater, her daughter took third place in the competition. The girl received lower component scores than her rivals. After that, Nadezhda won the tournament of the Moscow region among girls in the third youth category.
Nadezhda is Navka’s daughter from press secretary Dmitry Peskov. The couple got married in the summer of 2015.
