The Italian sports court reported this Thursday that Paul Pogba French midfielder for Juventus, has been banned for four years after testing positive for testosterone in an anti-doping test. The ‘B’ sample confirmed the test result and therefore the Juventus footballer, who admitted to having taken a dietary supplement, was provisionally suspended since the beginning of September.
This sanction will remove Pogba from the playing fields and will not be able to play until 2027, although the Frenchman has already confirmed that he will resort to Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
The player has shown his discomfort on his official profile instagram: “I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built throughout my professional career has been taken away from me.”
