Pogba commented on his four-year suspension

Juventus footballer Pogba said he will challenge his disqualification for doping in CAS

Juventus Turin midfielder Paul Pogba on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) commented on the four-year disqualification for violating anti-doping rules.

The footballer announced his intention to challenge the suspension at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). He emphasized that he never knowingly or intentionally took any supplements that violated anti-doping rules. ā€œI’m sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything has been taken away from me,ā€ Pogba concluded.

The 30-year-old midfielder was suspended for four years earlier on February 29. It was noted that the court did not believe the defense version of the accidental intake of the substance.

Pogba’s failed doping test became known in September 2023. It was reported that testosterone metabolites were found in a sample taken from the Frenchman on August 20 after the first round match of the Italian Championship. Sample B, like sample A, gave a positive result.

Pogba returned to Juventus in July 2022 as a free agent. Together with the team, the Frenchman became the champion of Italy four times, won the Cup twice and the country’s Super Cup three times. The midfielder also became the 2018 world champion as part of the French national team.
