Dynamo coach Lavrentyev: it’s annoying when female players are sent to the kitchen
The head coach of the Dynamo women’s club from Moscow, Sergei Lavrentyev, called an annoying stereotype about women’s football. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The specialist doesn’t like the fact that fans send female athletes to cook in the kitchen, believing that football is a man’s activity. “They play great on the field, and they also cook great borscht,” he joked. Lavrentiev drew attention to the fact that Russian football players have won many titles, so they must be taken into account.
Earlier, Russian football player Tatyana Petrova said that her average monthly salary is 60-70 thousand rubles. However, she stated that she does not think about the difference in salaries with men.
On February 28, 2022, the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations suspended Russian national teams and clubs from participating in international tournaments. Because of this, the domestic women’s team missed the European Championship.
