THE Real Madrid was tied with Cádiz this Sunday, for the 18th round of the spanish championship. The teams did not go to the nets at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Real had more possession and pushed Cadiz for most of the game, but couldn’t break through the opponent’s backlash. The Brazilian Vinícius Júnior, one of the main highlights of the meringues this season, played an uninspired game.
Benzema, who turned 34 on Sunday, tried to leave his goal but stopped at goalkeeper Jeremías Ledesma. Eden Hazard also tried to create his plays, but was ineffective.
With this result, Real Madrid remains in the lead of La Liga, with 43 points. The meringues are six points ahead of Sevilla, in second place.
Cádiz, in turn, is in penultimate place with 14 points.
