NBA suspends two more games due to COVID-19 outbreak | Other Sports | sports

Dozens of NBA players have entered the protocol against the coronavirus in recent days.

At least two of the NBA games this Sunday were suspended due to the wave of cases of covid-19 teams face, US media reported.

The postponed clashes are the one that they were going to dispute Atlanta Hawks contra Cleveland Cavaliers and that of the Brooklyn Nets ante los Denver Nuggets, reported the chain ESPN.

With this measure they add up to three games postponed so far this season because of the coronavirus, after the suspensions of two games by the Chicago Bulls, against the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors, this week.

Sunday’s first game suspended was due to an outbreak within the Cleveland Cavaleriers, which in recent hours saw five players test positive for COVID-19, including center Jarrett Allen, according to ESPN.

In the second, the Nets were in the picture with a dozen players removed from the team, including their three superstars: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

At least a third game of the day on Sunday, between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Philadelphia 76ers, was at risk of being suspended as well because the latter team had difficulty reaching the minimum of eight available players.

Dozens of NBA players have entered the protocol against the coronavirus in recent days.

In the last few hours, figures such as All-Star point guard Trae Young and Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel have joined that group.

To return to the courts, a player entered into the protocol must wait a minimum of 10 days or test negative in two covid-19 tests at least 24 hours apart. (D)
