Former Russian national team footballer Andrei Arshavin made a proposal to the country’s President Vladimir Putin at the opening of the Future Games in Kazan. Journalist Pavel Zarubin published their dialogue in his Telegram channel.
According to the ex-player, it is necessary to create a Russian analogue of the FIFA computer game. “I think that this would maintain interest in football, because guys now spend a lot of time on computers and live in the virtual world,” said Arshavin. “What needs to be done? FIFA is a series of computer games in the football simulator genre. It is being developed by EA Canada studio, part of the American corporation Electronic Arts.
