Bayern will part ways with their head coach

Thomas Tuchel will leave his post as Bayern coach at the end of the season

Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel will leave the team at the end of this season. This is reported on the club’s website.

The club’s general director, Jan-Christian Dresen, said that this was a joint decision between Tuchel and Bayern, which was made following friendly and open negotiations. The agreement with the German specialist will be terminated on June 30, 2024.

Tuchel took charge of the Munich club in March last year. The contract was valid until June 2025. Under his leadership, Bayern won the German championship last season. This season, after 22 rounds of the Bundesliga, the Munich team has 50 points and is in second place in the table, eight points behind the leading Bayer Leverkusen. On February 15, Bayern lost for the first time in five years in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. Tuchel’s team lost the first match to Lazio in Rome with a score of 0:1.

In addition to Bayern, Tuchel led Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, with whom he won the French championship twice, and London Chelsea, which, under the leadership of the German, won the Champions League in the 2020/2021 season.
