Viner-Usmanova wanted to revise the rules in rhythmic gymnastics

The head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics (VFHG) and head coach of the national team Irina Viner-Usmanova said that she would like to revise the rules in this sport. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Wiener felt that the new rules in rhythmic gymnastics were too standardized. In her opinion, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) needs to change them. “We will try, we will strive to revise the rules in the direction of the Olympic motto” Faster, higher, stronger “”, – emphasized the head of the All-Russian Agricultural Group.

On November 27, it became known that the Russian side refused to challenge in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) the results of the individual all-around in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2021 Olympic Games. For the proceedings, it was necessary to comply with the time limit for filing a claim, but Russia did not have time to collect the documents in time.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Russian Dina Averina missed the victory in the individual all-around. She was overtaken by an Israeli Lina Ashram, who dropped an object during her speech. The failure of the Russian gymnast provoked talk of biased refereeing at the tournament.
