Guruzeta will remain at Athletic until 2028

He Athletic and Gorka Guruzeta have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract for four seasons, until June 30, 2028. The player from San Sebastian is, with ten goals, the red and white top scorer in this campaign, equal with Inaki Williams. The signing took place this morning in San Mamés, in the presence of the president, Jon Uriarteand the General Director of Football, Mikel Gonzalez.
Guruzeta has become the reference center forward for Ernesto Valverde in his second stage as a lion after having arrived two summers ago from the SD Amorebieta.
With a third of the season left, Guruzeta has already accumulated 26 games this campaign for a total of 72 as a lion. The footballer, trained in the lower categories of the Antiguoko KE, has been radiant about the agreement, framed in the line drawn by the Board of Directors, with a fixed salary structure and a variable component by objectives. The forward will appear before the media this Thursday at 10:15 a.m. in Lezama.
