A series will be filmed about Spartak legionnaire Promes, convicted of drug charges.
Horizon Film will produce a mini-series based on the biography of Dutch Spartak forward Quincy Promes, convicted of drug charges. AD reports this.
According to the company’s producer Jaap Schneider, they were extremely interested in the player’s biography. “An exploration of the motivations behind his actions and their impact on his life and career, and a fascinating look at the fine line between success and decline,” he said. Filming is scheduled to begin in 2025, and real events in the series will be supplemented with fictional elements.
Earlier it became known that Promes, convicted in the Netherlands, was put on the international wanted list. On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes in absentia to six years in prison. According to investigators, in 2019 the forward was involved in transporting a large amount of cocaine belonging to Surinamese drug trafficker Piet Wartel.
