Kokorin’s first coach Staferov advised him not to return to Fiorentina
Valery Staferov, the first coach of Cypriot Aris striker Alexander Kokorin, gave advice to the Russian football player. His words are quoted by Sport24.
According to the specialist, the forward should not return to Fiorentina. “If I were him, I would stay in Cyprus. Even at 32, Kokorin shows what he is capable of. Let him play there until the end of his career,” Staferov said.
The coach also speculated about the age at which Kokorin could retire. “Until 39-40 he can play calmly, and then perhaps he can finish and think about returning to Dynamo.” Although Sasha is the kind of person who, at 33 years old, will say: “I’m tired of football!” said Staferov.
In total, this season Kokorin played 24 matches for Aris in all tournaments. The Russian scored eight goals and made two assists. The rights to him belong to Fiorentina, and he plays on loan at Aris.
