Honorary President of the RFU Koloskov called the Cyprus Championship the level of Kokorin
Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav Koloskov praised the performance of Cypriot Aris striker Alexander Kokorin. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Koloskov called the Cyprus Championship the level of Kokorin. “The man has played his part in Europe, now he plays where he has found his place, leave the man alone,” he said.
On February 18, Kokorin scored the fastest goal in the history of the Cypriot championship. He hit the opponent’s goal in the 12th second of the match.
In total, this season Kokorin played 24 matches for Aris in all tournaments. The Russian scored eight goals and made two assists.
In January 2021, Kokorin moved from Spartak Moscow to the Italian Fiorentina. The striker spent the 2022/2023 season on loan at Arisa, becoming the winner of the national championship. In September 2023, it became known that the Cypriot club had again taken Kokorin on an annual lease.
