Evgeni Malkin about training with 52-year-old Jaromir Jagr: it looks like fantasy

Russian hockey player “Pittsburgh Penguins” Evgeni Malkin spoke about training with 52-year-old Czech Jaromir Jagr. The official website of the National Hockey League (NHL) writes about this.

“It looks like fantasy. We understand how good he is. But I’m surprised by how well Jaromir skates,” Malkin said. Malkin also noted that he would not mind if Jagr’s presence in the lineup was not limited to just training.
Cech came to Pittsburgh for the ceremony of raising his jersey under the arches of the Penguins’ home arena. This will happen on February 18 before the match with Los Angeles.

Jagr spent 11 years in Pittsburgh and won the Stanley Cup twice with the club. The Czech is currently continuing his professional career. He plays for his hometown team Kladno, of which he is the owner. Jagr ranks first in hockey history in the number of goals scored in official matches.

Jagr previously spoke about the impact of performances in Russia on his NHL career. According to the Czech, leaving for Avangard Omsk helped him later return to the NHL for another seven years. Jagr played for Avangard from 2004 to 2005, and then from 2008 to 2011.
