52-year-old hockey player Jaromir Jagr trained with the Pittsburgh Penguins National Hockey League (NHL) club. This was reported on the team’s page on the social network. X.
The Czech hockey player came to Pittsburgh for the ceremony of raising the sweater with his number under the arches of the club’s home arena. This will happen on February 18 before the match with Los Angeles. Jagr will become the third player in Pittsburgh history to have his number retired. Previously, this was awarded to Mario Lemieux and Michel Brière.
Jaromir Jagr spent 11 years in Pittsburgh and won the Stanley Cup twice with the club. The Czech is currently continuing his professional career. He plays for his hometown team Kladno, of which he is the owner. Jagr ranks first in hockey history in the number of goals scored in official matches.
