Russian biathlete Loginov admitted that he misses the warm stages in Europe
Biathlon world champion Alexander Loginov complained of the cold during races in Russia. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Loginov shared that frosts do not allow him to perform 100 percent well, as he finds them difficult to bear. The biathlete admitted that he misses the warm stages in Europe. “I think whoever says no will be a big liar,” he said.
Due to weather conditions, biathlon competitions have been postponed or canceled more than once. Thus, in December 2023, the Russian Cup stage in Tyumen was canceled because the temperature dropped below minus 20 degrees allowed for racing.
Russians and Belarusians do not participate in international competitions by decision of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). The order came into force in March 2022 and will remain in effect until further notice.
