Spartak legionnaire convicted of drug charges put on international wanted list

Convicted drug offender Quincy Promes put on the international wanted list

Spartak Moscow legionnaire Quincy Promes, convicted in the Netherlands, has been put on the international wanted list. Franklin Wattimena, press secretary of the Amsterdam prosecutor’s office, reported this to RIA Novosti.

According to him, the Dutch authorities tried to bring the player home. “However, this has not yet led to his extradition,” Wattimena added.

Earlier, the Dutch prosecutor’s office seized nine properties of Promes in the country. We are talking about luxury residential real estate in Almere, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Abkud.

On February 14, an Amsterdam court sentenced Promes in absentia to six years in prison. According to investigators, in 2019 the forward was involved in transporting a large amount of cocaine belonging to Surinamese drug trafficker Piet Wartel.
