Kostomarov said that he does figure skating only on holidays
Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov told what sports he continues to practice. His words are quoted by MSK1.ru.
Kostomarov admitted that he does figure skating only on holidays. He also noted that it is still difficult for him to play tennis.
“Mostly I do fitness – I spin a bike, walk on the path. I can still swim. Slowly, but I’m swimming,” the skater shared, adding that he plans to take part in Ilya Averbukh’s annual ice show.
On January 17, Kostomarov showed on video how to master one extreme sport. He demonstrated how he flies over the water on a flyboard.
In January 2023, Kostomarov was hospitalized with pneumonia and influenza B. Due to prolonged connection to a blood oxygenation machine and a ventilator, his tissue began to die. Doctors amputated both feet of the skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire hand of his right hand and several fingers of his left. Later, he was fitted with prosthetic legs and right arm.
