Quincy Promes sentenced to six years in prison for drug smuggling
An Amsterdam court found Spartak Moscow forward Quincy Promes guilty of drug smuggling. De Telegraaf reports this.
The Dutchman was sentenced to six years in prison. He was absent from the meeting. Currently, the 32-year-old legionnaire is with Spartak at a training camp in the UAE.

Dutch prosecutors requested nine years in prison for the player. According to investigators, in 2019 the forward was involved in transporting a large amount of cocaine belonging to Surinamese drug trafficker Piet Wartel. The footballer did not admit guilt.
In June 2023, a Dutch court sentenced Promes in absentia to 18 months in prison. The attacker was found guilty of involvement in the armed attack and stabbing of his cousin. The footballer continued to play for Spartak and filed an appeal.
