Former Arsenal footballer Gallas said that Andrei Arshavin was lazy
Former London Arsenal defender William Gallas shared his memories of playing for the team of Russian Andrei Arshavin. His words are quoted by “Championship”.
The athlete said that the Russian striker was lazy and did not try hard in training. In his opinion, this led to disappointment among the fans, who saw in Arsenal a different Arshavin than he was in Zenit.
On May 29, 2023, the London club published a post with congratulations on Arshavin’s birthday. The recording was later deleted due to criticism from Ukrainian fans.
Arshavin played for London’s Arsenal from 2009 to 2013. With the club, he played 105 matches in the English Premier League, scoring 23 goals. The midfielder is also known for his performances for the Russian national team. Together with the national team, he won bronze medals at Euro 2008.
