Zhirkov supported Karpin’s call for Russian football players to go to Europe
Former Russian national team player Yuri Zhirkov appreciated the call of the head coach of the national team Valery Karpin for his players to go to the European championships. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Zhirkov supported Karpin’s call. “Our players have everything for this. Alexey Miranchuk, Daler Kuzyaev and Alexander Golovin show a very good level of play,” he noted.
On September 12, Karpin called on Russian players to leave for European clubs. He noted that he advised leaving the RPL many times. The coach explained that he feels the difference between the level of the national team players who play in Europe and those who remain at home.
At the moment, several Russian football players are playing in European championships. Among the most famous are Alexander Golovin, representing Monaco, Alexey Miranchuk, playing for the Italian Atalanta, Daler Kuzyaev for the French Le Havre, Arsen Zakharyan for the Spanish Real Sociedad.
