Aguero debuts for Barcelona in friendly and scores first goal

This Wednesday, Sergio Aguero took the field wearing the Barcelona shirt for the first time, in a friendly against Cornellá. The match ended in a draw 2-2, and featured a goal from the Argentine that opened the scoring.

Aguero was selected as a starter by coach Ronald Koeman alongside Ansu Fati and Phelippe Coutinho, who are not with their teams in the FIFA Data. Sergio Busquets, Gavi, Sergi Roberto and Eric García re-presented themselves after Spain’s runner-up in the League of Nations, but did not go to the field.

The Argentine striker, ex-Manchester City, was signed by Barcelona earlier this season. However, he suffered a muscle injury in his right leg in August, before making his debut. He returned to training earlier this week, and his first official match could be next Sunday, against Valencia, for the Spanish Championship.
