Russian hockey player Kholodilin defeated American Galchenyuk in a fight in a KHL match
Russian forward of Omsk Avangard Nikita Kholodilin got into a fight with American forward SKA Alex Galchenyuk during a regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
At the end of the second period, the Russian hockey player performed a power move against compatriot Sergei Tolchinsky. A player from the USA stood up for his teammate and started a brawl, which ended in Kholodilin’s victory. The 21-year-old Avangard forward sent his opponent to the ice with a precise uppercut. Both received a two-minute penalty for roughness.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, February 6, in Omsk and ended with a score of 9:5 in favor of the hosts. The participants in the fight were not effective.
SKA leads the Western Conference. Avangard is in second place in the Eastern Conference.
