The decisive match will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The meeting will take place on July 19. Earlier it became known that the opening match will be held at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada. For the first time, 48 teams will take part in the tournament. A total of 104 matches will be played.
In February 2022, the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations excluded Russian teams and clubs from international tournaments. Teams do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team has lost the opportunity to fight for access to the finals of the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.
