Shachar Grinberg, agent of the Russian Maccabi football player from Haifa Daniil Lesovoy, assessed the likelihood of the player playing for the Israeli national team. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Greenberg said that Lesovoy can obtain Israeli citizenship after the document is issued to the footballer’s wife. “As for a possible performance for the Israeli national team, this is not being considered yet. It’s too early to talk about it,” he said.
On February 2, the midfielder moved to the Israeli club from Dynamo Moscow on loan. It will last until the end of the 2023/2024 season and provides for the right to buy.
26-year-old Lesovoy has played for Dynamo since 2020. This season he played eight matches in the Russian Championship, in which he was not effective. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his value at 1.8 million euros.
