FIFA President proposed determining prices for football players using an algorithm
The President of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino proposed determining prices for football players using an algorithm. His words are quoted by The Telegraph.
Infantino made the initiative during a speech at FIFA’s annual legal conference in Tokyo. In his opinion, this will help increase the transparency of the transfer system and help stakeholders.
On January 20, Argentine businessman Alejandro Burzaco accused FIFA of corruption. He testified as a witness in the trial of two former Fox sports executives, Hernan Lopez and Carlos Martinez, who are accused of paying bribes to obtain broadcast rights.
On December 30, the Transfermarkt portal announced a symbolic team of the most expensive football players in the world. Three strikers were included in the national team: Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe from PSG and Erling Haaland from Manchester City.
