Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Kucherov appreciated the whistling of the audience towards him at the National Hockey League (NHL) All-Star Game. His words are quoted by journalist Jay Richer in X.
“It was good. I liked it. I didn’t expect anything better. It was fun,” said the hockey player. He added that he enjoyed participating in the competitions, but was not able to show his best side.
On February 3, it became known that the audience booed Kucherov at the NHL All-Star Game. According to the results of the skill competition, the hockey player took last place and was unable to advance to the next stage. The fans did not like that the Russian did not try to win the competition. In the passing accuracy competition, he missed the targets several times.
Kucherov is the top scorer of the 2023/2024 NHL season. He currently has 83 points (32 goals and 51 assists) in 48 games. The hockey player has been playing in Tampa since 2013 and, together with the team, became a two-time Stanley Cup winner.
