Former Russian national team coach Korneev compared Slutsky to a maniac in prison
Former Russian national team coach Igor Korneev spoke about a break in the career of Shanghai Shenhua coach Leonid Slutsky. His words are quoted by Match TV.
According to Korneev, his colleague needed him. “Let’s look at the latest fragments of Slutsky’s work. And let’s look at him. You can understand that the heart will simply jump out there. We see him not even swinging, but simply walking like a maniac in prison, walking back and forth. Literally shaking,” Korneev compared.
Slutsky’s signing of a contract with Shanghai became known on December 27 last year. The specialist headed the club from January 1, 2024. The contract is for one year.
Before this, Slutsky’s last club was Rubin Kazan, where he worked from 2019 to 2022. He left the team of his own free will.
