RUSADA will ask CAS to hide the reasoning part of the decision in the case of Kamila Valieva
The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) will ask the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to hide the reasoning part of the decision in the case of figure skater Kamila Valieva. RIA Novosti reports this.
The organization noted that it had received the full text of the decision. At the moment, lawyers are getting to know him. “RUSADA respects the rights of athletes. In this case, we did everything to maintain the confidentiality of information about the protected person’s case,” the agency noted.
Earlier, the CAS press service reported that the full decision in Valieva’s case could be published by February 9-11. At the same time, the court noted that some of the information may remain confidential.
On January 29, CAS disqualified Valieva for four years. The period of suspension starts on December 25, 2021. Then traces of the banned drug trimetazidine were found in her sample.
