Dynamo Kiev criticized the participation of Russian clubs in friendly matches
Dynamo Kiev criticized the participation of Russian clubs in international friendly matches. The team’s statement is available on its website.
“Russian clubs have no place in world football, and we condemn the decision of some clubs to take the field against them,” the Ukrainian team said. Dynamo condemned the desire of the Kazakh Ordabasy to play with the Voronezh Fakel.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Football Association opposed a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Serbia. The meeting will take place on March 21 in Moscow.
On February 28, 2022, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) suspended Russian national teams and clubs from participating in international tournaments. Teams do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team has lost the opportunity to fight for access to the finals of the World and European Championships.
