Russian forward “Tampa” Kucherov was the first choice in the NHL All-Star Game draft
Russian forward “Tampa Bay Lightning” Nikita Kucherov became the first pick of the All-Star Game of the National Hockey League (NHL). This was reported on the league website.
Kucherov was selected first by the Hughes brothers. The forward, the top scorer of the current NHL season, is taking part in the All-Star Game for the fifth time.
Four more Russians will take part in the match. New York Rangers goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin joined Auston Matthews’ team, Colorado Avalanche goalkeeper Alexander Georgiev and Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov joined Nathan MacKinnon’s team. Florida Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky was selected by Conor McDavid’s team.
The 2024 NHL All-Star Game takes place in Toronto from February 1st to 3rd. Also as part of the tournament, a master show will take place – 12 hockey players will compete for one million dollars in competitions using the all-around system.
