TV commentator Dmitry Guberniev spoke about the appointment of Italian specialist Paolo Vanoli as the head coach of Spartak Moscow. His words are quoted by Sport24.

He added that the management of the red and white loves experimenting, and expressed the hope that the new coach will be able to take the team to a new level.
Vanoli’s appointment was announced on December 17. The specialist has never coached professional clubs on his own, but was a member of the coaching staff of the Italian national team, Chelsea and Inter.
Spartak last became the champion of Russia in 2017. Then the team was coached by the Italian Massimo Carrera.
