Costume designer Natalya Bolshakova found plagiarism in a uniform for Russian participants in the Beijing Olympics, created by the Russian sportswear brand Zasport. She wrote about this on Facebook.
The dresser showed off photographs of the Russian uniforms and equipment of the US national team of previous years, which look similar. “I won’t even comment,” she signed the record.
The uniform of the Russian national team was presented on December 10. The outfit displays pictograms for each sport, stylized as Chinese characters.
In December 2020, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) approved a two-year ban on Russian athletes from competing under the Russian flag at the World Championships and the Olympics until December 16, 2022. Because of this, the new equipment only has the ROC logo.
The Beijing Olympics will be held from 4 to 20 February 2022.
