Russian forward of the Columbus Blue Jackets Dmitry Voronkov scored a goal in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the St. Louis Blues. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

The forward scored at the beginning of the third period. The goal was the only one in the match and brought Columbus victory with a minimal score. The meeting took place on the night of Wednesday, January 31.

For Voronkov, the goal was his 12th of the season; he took third place in this indicator among newcomers, equaling teammate Adam Fantilli. They are ahead of Marco Rossi of the Minnesota Wild (13 goals) and Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks (15).

23-year-old Voronkov is a graduate of Angarsk hockey; in the KHL he played for Ak Bars. In May 2023, the forward signed a two-year entry-level contract with Columbus.
