The director spoke about Nurmagomedov’s attempt to “deal” with him in Dagestan

Russian director Yegor Klimovich spoke about the conflict with the former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. His words are quoted by Match TV.

Klimovich recalled how he went to Dagestan at the invitation of Nurmagomedov, where the reconciliation of the former mixed style (MMA) fighter Oleg Taktarov and the Dagestan fighter was supposed to take place. However, after Nurmagomedov’s friends discovered a joint photo of Klimovich and Irishman Conor McGregor, the attitude towards the director changed – they tried to “sort out” Klimovich. “Khabib and his friends put me in a jeep and took me to the showdown typical of his team. They began to press, they say, “what are you doing here?”

The conflict between Taktarov and Nurmagomedov began in 2018. The Dagestani fighter’s team refused to consider Taktarov the first UFC champion.

Taktarov is the first Russian to win a UFC tournament. In the 1995 UFC 6 final, the Russian defeated David Abbott. Nurmagomedov held the UFC lightweight title and defended it three times. He was also recognized as the best fighter in the organization, regardless of weight categories.
