Spartak signed Twente footballer Ugalde for four and a half years
Spartak Moscow signed Costa Rica striker Manfred Ugalde from the Dutch Twente. This was reported on the team’s website.
The 21-year-old footballer’s contract is for four and a half years. He will play for Spartak under number nine. The team wished the player good luck.
On January 25, journalist Fabrizio Romano said that Spartak had agreed on a transfer with Twente. He stated that the amount of compensation for the player would be up to 15 million euros and this would be a transfer record for a European team.
Ugalde moved to Twente in 2021. In total, he played 87 matches with the team, in which he scored 22 goals and gave 13 assists. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his value at five million euros. The forward has one goal in six matches for the Costa Rican national team.
After 18 rounds of the current Russian Premier League season, Spartak has 30 points. The team is in fifth place in the standings.
