The French handball team won (33-31) to that of Denmark this Sunday in the final of the 2024 European Championship held in Germany, an intense outcome in extra time which crowned ‘Les Experts’ for the fourth time.
The Lanxess Arena in Cologne vibrated for the last time this tournament, shortly after Sweden will take the bronze against the host Germany by 34-32, in a carat final between the Olympic champion and the world champion.
The great match between the sticks Emil Nielsen, with 15 stops to be named MVP of the final, and the outstanding performance of Mikkel Hansen (9 goals) and Mathias Gidsel (8) was not enough to stop France in epic mode since its dramatic passage to the final. Ludovic Fabregas (8) was the French top scorer.
The French team, which I was looking for gold 10 years later -12 in the case of the Danes-, they took the victory against a Danish team that had the last possession to win the game before extra time but did not take advantage of it.
