Thus, the Itzulia Basque Country of 2024 is going to put its first stage, on Monday, April 1, in Irunwith a 10 kilometer individual time trialin which the runners will climb a 3rd category mountain pass, Olaberria. The second stage, Irun-Kanbo, 160 kilometerspresents another climb the next day that counts for the Mountain Grand Prix, that of Saint-Ignace, also 3rd, in the initial section of the day, and will subsequently pass through Ainhoa, Ezpeleta, Irisarri, Hazparne, Hiriburu, Uztaritze and Senpere, as well as Kanbo.
The mountain is going to have a greater presence from the third stage, Ezpeleta-Alsasuaannounced for the Wednesday April 3. With a tour of 190.9 kilometerscyclists will encounter six scoring climbs: Otsondo, Usategieta and Lizarrusti, from 2nd category, and Uitzi, Zuarrarrate and Olaberria, from 3rd. Itzulia will contest most of the kilometers of this stage in Navarra, in places such as Elizondo, Doneztebe, Leitza, Lekunberri, Etxarri Aranatz and Otsaurte, as well as towns such as Zegama, in Gipuzkoa.

Azazeta, Elorriaga and Uribarri Ganboa will see the pace of the runners, who, in the last 40 kilometers of the race, before the arrival of Legutio, will climb three other 3rd class passes: Olaeta, Untzilla and Leintz-Gatzaga.
Álava, in its initial section, and Bizkaia will be the territories through which it transits the fifth stage of Itzulia, on Friday, April 5. The peloton will leave Vitoria-Gasteiz, and, 175.9 kilometers later, they will finish their work in Amorebieta-Etxano. Gopegi, Barazar and Lemoa will see the passage of the race in its first third, before beginning the ascent to Urkiola, the first 1st category climb of this edition of the race; Otxandio and Dima will be the next points crossed by the runners, who, after a first pass through Amorebieta-Etxano, will climb Muniketa, from 3rd, on two occasions, the second of them 12 kilometers from the finish.
On Saturday, April 6, everything will be settled, in the sixth stage, which, due to its hardness, points to being decisive. With departure and arrival in Eibar and a route of 137.8 kilometers, it includes seven scoring climbs: Azurki, Krabelin and Izua, 1st category, Gorla, 2nd, and Trabakua and Urkaregi, the latter 12 kilometers from the finish, 3rd category. This sixth and final stage presents a profile that promises a spectacle among the strongest of the race, among those men who aspire to don the definitive yellow jersey of the 2024 Itzulia in the gun town.
