Valery Karpin’s wife Daria said that she will move to Estonia with her children in the summer

The wife of the head coach of Rostov and the Russian national football team Valery Karpin, Daria, said that she plans to move to Estonia in the summer, but without her husband. She wrote about this on Instagram (the social network is prohibited in the Russian Federation; belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned).

“We have always lived in Estonia. We just lived temporarily in Rostov due to my husband’s work. Now the girls have grown up, we need to get ready for school, plus Anita has been living in Estonia for a year without us. That’s why we’re going back,” she shared. Daria added that they would move to Tallinn, it was time for her daughter to get ready for school.

Karpin said in September 2023 that his child would go to school in Estonia next year. Then he also said that he did not want to leave Rostov, but admitted that a lot could change. “It’s September now, in November we’ll still fly and travel, I’ll be without my family for another three weeks and I’ll say: “That’s it, I don’t want to,” said the coach.

Karpin will lead the Russian national team in the summer of 2021. The agreement with the coach runs until August 2024. The specialist returned to Rostov in March 2022. He previously worked at the club from 2017 to 2021.

Valery Karpin is a native of the Estonian city of Narva and has Estonian citizenship.
