Gallyamov considered Dikidzhi, Semenenko and Gumennik the best figure skaters in Russia
Olympic champion in figure skating in pairs Alexander Gallyamov named the three best Russians in single skating. He expressed his opinion in an interview with Lenta.ru.
“Vladislav Dikidzhi, who flies so perfectly and smoothly, jumps very cool. Evgeniy Semenenko, he has a certain high bar, and he constantly maintains it, a very stable athlete. And Pyotr Gumennik, who knows how to gather himself at the right moments,” Gallyamov considered.
Gallyamov chose not to name the three best singles skaters among Russian figure skaters, since, in his opinion, the main characters in women’s skating often change, and the strongest can only be discussed based on the results of the season.
Earlier, Olympic silver medalist Evgenia Medvedeva named the best Russian figure skaters. “Top 3 Russian figure skaters at the moment? I’ll name two without hesitation – Sofya Akatieva and Adelia Petrosyan, although they are still babies, they are already pulling everyone else along with them. If we talk about third place, then there are a lot of candidates, it’s floating,” Medvedeva said.
Gallyamov is an Olympic champion, world and European champion in pair skating together with Anastasia Mishina.
