Turkish volleyball player Ebrar Karakurt said she thought the Russians were cold
Turkish volleyball player of Lokomotiv Kaliningrad Ebrar Karakurt spoke about the prejudices she had regarding Russians. Her words are quoted by Volley News.
The athlete said that she thought that people living in Russia were cold. “But when I came here, I realized that this is not so. My teammates, management, all the people working at the club have always been very responsive and friendly,” said Karakurt.
The volleyball player also said that Russian culture is not very different from Turkish. “There are Russian dishes that I like, but I really miss Turkish cuisine,” said the athlete.
Karakurt signed a contract with Lokomotiv in February 2023. Before this, the volleyball player played in the Italian Novara.
